Pros and Cons of Buying a Brand New Home

If you are reading this, you are either in the beginning stages of buying a house in Las Vegas or are already looking for the perfect home.  Whatever stage you are in, is a New Construction Home for you?

The Pro : It’s a brand new house

The biggest benefit of buying a brand new house is it is brand new.  It has never been lived in and you will be the very first owner.  It will not have certain damages from normal wear and tear a resale will have.  This means it will take some time before you might have to replace anything such as roof, plumbing, a/c and so on.  You’ll most likely receive different warranties that cover your home as well as utilities such as fridge, washer, and dryer.

The Pro : The Process of Building

The process of watching your dream home get built is an enjoyable one and brings such proud moments.  You’ve been working hard, saving money, and doing all you can to make it possible to become a homeowner.  You’ve finally made it and as you watch the home get built, it just brings so much emotions and gratitude.  This is what you’ve been working for and it’s coming true.

The Con : There are restrictions

Though you are building a new home, you don’t have complete freedom to fully design the home from exactly how you would want it.  Builders have a master construction plan already for the community your home will be built according to that plan.  You can still do upgrades and such but still limitations due to meeting the community plan.

The Con : The Cost of buying new

The improvements, upgrades, and customizations will quickly drain your funds if you come in without a budget.  Buying a brand new home is very exciting but the upgrades you choose will cost money.

In conclusion, buying and building a brand new home is very exciting and has many advantages as well as disadvantages.  I believe that the advantages still out weight the cons.
